RBC Life Insurance

I have to admit, RBC Insurance has done much better for our clients than I originally thought they would do.  Starting at about 12 month ago, RBC Insurance has re-priced their term life insurance, and have become one of the most competitive life insurance companies in Canada.

Who knew, that a bank would come up with a good insurance product?

RBC Insurance explained

So here is what RBC Insurance offers on the life insurance side

  • T10 aka 10 year term
  • T20 aka 20 year term
  • T100 and Universal Life T100 or YRT
  • Critical Illness Insurance
  • Disability Insurance
  • Home & Auto Insurance
  • Segregated Funds

RBC Insurance is very competitive on all these life insurance products, and I highly recommend dealing with them.

Before you make a decision on whether to buy from RBC or not, please make sure to use our "Best Rate Calculator" on the right, and shop the Canadian Insurance market, you may find some other insurers that may suit your needs even better.

RBC Insurance direct

A lot of people ask me if they would be better off to go direct to RBC Insurance, and buy direct from them.

Is there a better price bu going direct to RBC? The answer is NO.

You will not get a better price by calling RBC directly, at the best case scenario, you will get the same price as you would get by using a broker such as myself, and many times you may get an even higher price.

The reason for that is because, I find that the RBC direct phone operators are not familiar with how to get the best price possible for life insurance. They also don't have preferred underwriting available, and they most certainly don't know anything about any other insurance company in Canada, so you will not get an un0-biased opinion.
